Open Letter to Mark SandovalL in responce to the fuel facilities survey
By Alfredo Fernandez

shoreline

LBMBOA reviewed the Marine Bureau survey options for the reworking of the Long Beach Marina fuel facilities at the BOA Board meeting on August 17, 2010. BOA’s position is that "we cannot support either option” and sends an open letter to Mark Sandoval Marine Bureau Manager Click here to view letter  and urges all boat owners to send the survey letter back saying that you do not approve any of the options. As it appears the need to repair the Marinas Fuel Docks is not a new regulation but rather a Complaint for Civil Penalties and Injunctive Relief filed by the State Water Resources Control Board on Jan 21, 2010 to the city of Long Beach for violations of state law dealing with the underground storage of hazardous substances. As it turns out the fuel docks are not the only ones in need of repair but also 38 other facilities own and maintained by the city. Click here to view the official complain
